I was well aware of it, and it doesn't count as a publication of the Standard
in my opinion.
The moderator of comp.lang.c.moderated tried hard to divert attention away
from that book (probably should have mentioned it by name).
Does Osbourne/McGraw-Hill somehow have a monopoly of distribution rights to
the text of the Standard? Is the publishing industry stupid enough to assume
that the Schildt book satifies the market for distribution of the Standard?
We are talking about one of the most used computer languages to date.
Why can't I buy a simple copy of the Standard for that language at my local
technical bookstore?
